John Hudson

Biography

John Hudson is the UK Military’s Chief SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance & Extraction) Instructor, responsible for designing and implementing survival training for instructors across land, sea, and extreme environments. A former RAF helicopter pilot and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, he authored the joint services survival training manual and revised the RAF’s survival memoir for downed aircrew. Hudson’s expertise is widely recognized through his role as a resident expert on Discovery Channel’s Survive That (a.k.a. Dude, You’re Screwed) and First Man Out
